Upon arrival at the doctor’s
office, you are asked to fill out what seems to be reams of paperwork
(not our fault)! We find out interesting information about your
and your family’s health and social history. This enables
us to provide individualized, personal care. Rarely does one know
personal information about their physician, and it is in this
vein (pun intended) that I wish to tell you something about myself
in hopes of establishing a personal physician-patient relationship.
I am blessed to be married to
a wonderful woman who has put up with the long hours of my medical
training. We have four girls and one boy…whew…the
best children anyone could ask for. We are active members at Life
Church here Edmond and thoroughly enjoy it. Originally from Texas,
we have lived in Oklahoma for six years now. I graduated medical
school from the University of North Texas Health Science Center
at Fort Worth in 1999. I completed my Family Practice residency
training at Deaconess and Integris Hospitals in 2002, and subsequently
Board Certified in Family Practice, as well. After my residency
training, I was fortunate to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship
in Toledo, Ohio under the Head Physician for the 1998 U.S. Winter
Olympic team. We subsequently returned to Edmond in 2003 where
I began practicing.
We are honored you have chosen
to entrust us with your medical care. If we can be of any assistance,
please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Steve D. King, D.O.
